Windham Antiques Appraisal Services provides identification, information and valuation of antique items for those seeking to know about antiques they have and their value. We appraise a wide spectrum of antiques including furniture, paintings, printed works on paper such as etchings, engravings, woodblock prints, other types of artwork, silver, glass, porcelain, ceramics, pottery, books, historical paper including autographed letters, documents, historical ephemera and memorabilia as well as many other kinds of antique items.
With over 30 years of professional appraisal experience and as a member of the New England Appraisers Association you will receive professional expertise including identification and valuation to increase your understanding and appreciation for your cherished antique items.
For item identification, information and valuation we ask for a nominal fee of $15 which will provide you with both information and fair market value of that item. For additional items you would like information and valuation for the fee would be $10 each item for an additional four items. If you have more than five items that you would like identified and appraised we would provide a fee discount accordingly.
Identification, information and valuation we send to you would be in the form of an email.
We can also provide professional appraisal documents for the validation of value to secure adequate insurance for your antique items as well as for equitable distribution and estate settlement that can be utilized for legal purposes. We also prepare appraisal documents for charitable contributions which when submitted with your tax documents satisfy review by the Internal Revenue Service. If preparation of an appraisal document is requested, there would be an additional fee as that requires additional preparation work to comply with specific legal guidelines.
If you would like to utilize our professional appraisal services please inquire and indicate the number of items you would like to have identified and appraised and we will let you know what the total fee would be for those items you would like evaluated. You can then make payment for our services through our Paypal email address which is windham@bmark.com and we will then proceed with your request for appraisal services. You are also welcome to send payment by personal check if you prefer.
We will promptly proceed with your appraisal request(s) once payment for service is received. When submitting your request(s) please include photos or digital images of your items to be appraised and indicate relevant markings if any as well as dimensions. You will receive identification, information and valuation of your item(s) by email typically within a day or two.
In addition to appraisal services we can also provide assistance to those who are downsizing with advisement outlining options and methods of selling antiques to maximize monetary gain.
We guarantee you will be satisfied with our expertise in providing you with information and valuation you request but if for some reason you are not happy with what we have provided there is a money back guarantee.
