Letter dated February 26, 1973 by Atomic Energy Commission Chairwoman Dixy Lee Ray written shortly after her appointment by President Richard Nixon to be chairwoman.
The letter which is typed on stationery with 'ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION' printed letterhead was directed to Philip Sporn of New York.
The letter has usual fold creases. Together with the letter is a copy of a typed letter sent by Sporn to Dixy Lee Ray and a newspaper clipping announcing her appointment as chairwoman of the Atomic Energy Commission.
