Letter dated May 30, 1962 by Brigadier-General and Chemist Sir Harold Hartley of London, England.
The 2-page letter which is hand-written on the front and backside of stationery with 'Central Electricity Generating Board' printed letterhead was directed to Philip Sporn of the American Electric Power Company of New York.
Together with the letter by Sir Harold Hartley is a typed transcription of the hand-written letter and a copy of a typed letter of response by Sporn to Sir Hartley dated June 29, 1962.
