Toothpick holder of pillar ribbed form made from opal colored glass and paint decorated with green spatter type design on a custard yellow colored painted background. The edge of the top is highlighted with a thin brown painted band. Possibly made by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. of New Bedford, Mass. and decorated by Smith Brothers of New Bedford, Mass. Circa 1890 in age and measuring approximately 2.5" in height. Marked on the underside with the collection number '340' and initials 'V.W.' in gold. There is also remnants of a sticker. There are two surface chips on the edge of the top. This toothpick holder is from a very large collection of toothpick holders which is now available for sale.
