Gag cartoon done using mixed media and ink on stiff paper by American artist Barbara Shermund (1899-1978). Written in pencil on the lower part of the cartoon is 'S-sh I thought I heard a champagne cork go off'. Barbara Shermund was a contributer to the New Yorker magazine and to Esquire magazine.
