VERY RARE EROTIC AUTOMATON VESTA MATCHSAFE Very rare erotic automaton vesta matchsafe made from plated silver with gilt highlights. Marked with stamped numerals on the inside of the lid is the number '3310'. The vesta matchsafe was made circa 1870. The automaton mechanism is not in working condition and I have not attempted to unscrew the screws securing the decorative front to try to ascertain why the mechanism is not working.
