ONE-O-ONE OPAL GLASS TOOTHPICK HOLDER Toothpick holder of 'ONE-O-ONE' pattern glass in opal color made by Challinor, Taylor and Company circa 1891. The toothpick holder is in fine condition with a very small oval shaped shallow surface flaw which when examined under a magnifying glass shows it was done in the making at the factory. This inflection can be seen on the lower part of one of the jewel shaped protrusions in the first image below. TOOTHPICK HOLDER, POSS. SMITH, MT. WASHINGTON Toothpick holder of pillar ribbed form made from opal colored glass and paint decorated with green spatter type design on a custard yellow colored painted background. The edge of the top is highlighted with a thin brown painted band. Possibly made by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. of New Bedford, Mass. and decorated by Smith Brothers of New Bedford, Mass. Circa 1890 in age and measuring approximately 2.5" in height. Marked on the underside with the collection number '340' and initials 'V.W.' in gold. There is also remnants of a sticker.
